BMA'S PROJECTS: Dimensione Danza store in Milan

The infinity of a dynamic space, a large variety of products that mix dance and fashion together, and the use of innovative materials are only some of the main features that defines Dimensione Danza clothes store in Corso Europa, Milan was realized in august 2010 by BMA - Italian contract and furniture, cooperating with the studio Storage Associati.

THE PROJECT
The store has a floor area of 210 m2
140m of LED Illumination strips
1000 m2 of lacquering
250 m2 of perforated iron panels
140 m of natural hemp rope
240 cable lugs
100 m2 of Stopsol glass, gray mirrors and extra clear mirrors
Despite these impressive numbers, the store was created and installed in just 40 days, keeping the most maniacal attention to every detail.
Among the most notable works in this project, we have the racks: made of perforated metal iron, folded and painted, supporting LED illuminated shelves, shaped following the vain created by the plates themselves. Very special are also the dressing rooms' curtains, made with three different fabrics and 440 cm high, that recreates the effect of a stage curtain.
There’s a large variety of products for everyday’s life: it is possible to find practical and functional items that, with a glam particular, give the sensation of freedom almost to make feel the experience of dance.

THE CLIENT
Dimensione Danza was founded in 1983.
Its clothes were inspired by the world of dance. With a sporty yet chic style, this company is able to follow and adapt to current trends without sacrificing femininity and refined details (that, since 31 years, are the strong point of the company founded by dancer Nadia Necchi and her husband Enrico Baroni, fashion stylist).

THE DESIGNER
The architecture studio Storage Associati was founded in 2001 by the architects Barbara Ghidoni, Michele Pasini and Marco Donati, graduates from the Politecnico di Milano.
The studio began to grow and collaborate with other professionals on various kinds of projects, from shops to homes, exhibition stands and renovations.
The studio is now working with several architects and designers. Among the major Storage Associati's projects we can mention several realizations for Premiata, Antonioli, Dsquared, Roberto Cavalli and other important maisons. Many projects of the Milanese studio were published in international industry magazines.
